About Us

SAALs is the Southern Area Association of Law Societies. It is made up of 7 southern law societies from Dorset to Hertfordshire and covering the central southern coast and central south areas of England.

Our aim is to provide a hub for those law societies to share ideas, facilitate the exchange of views and create closer working relationships between professionals and member societies.

The group also provides a forum for our Law Society Council members to bring issues from the national Law Society to the local law societies and in turn gather views and information to feed back. The council members are elected national representatives covering the areas of the 7 member societies.

Our member societies represent a combined total of more than 15,000 solicitors. We are committed to providing a platform to unite our members, the law societies and areas and to promoting access to justice and the principle of justice for all.
